I am a Sri Lankan Designer who loves to create beautiful elegant garments with an oriental twist. My inspiration came from re-search which I did, shows a niche in Australian Market for new sari & sarong creations. My collection is made out of Eco Friendly 100% cotton hand-woven fabrics sponsored by Sri Lankan design house Barefoot.

I wanted to become a Fashion Designer from the age of six. I love to wear my mother’s saris and always wanted to look at fashion magazines. At that time there were no place to study Fashion in Sri Lanka. I came to Australia to fulfill my dream of becoming a Fashion Designer. I attended a Diploma course in Clothing Industry studies at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (R.M.I.T) in Melbourne.

In year 2002 I completed my Bachelor of Fashion Design degree from Canberra Institute Technology -Canberra. After my higher education I move to Sydney & started working full time as a pattern maker/grader in CAD (Lectra) for GAZAL Apparel Limited. Currently I am working for S&R Fashions (Charles Parsons) Sydney.
